The orgin of personal values.

Where do personal values develop? This is where it truly starts—from your family background to your social circles, you start learning the things you feel will be helpful to you as you get older. In the same breath, the values that you may not care about as much based on your lived experiences. The interesting part is that sometimes values are not consistently intertwined, so others don't know what they stand for until they reach defining moments that force them to change.

I understand the need for personal values to be more tangible —something people can feel, touch, and see—it serves a better purpose. I believe that personal values are more than just an abstract philosophy; they enable people to understand what they care about in this life. You are literally living your values every day; you just need more guidance on how make it applicable.

How do you continue to assess your values? Do you know where to start? What kind of impact could that have on you?

One of the most effective strategies is to be in a reflective mode and use introspection regularly.

Personal values help you understand your beliefs and standards in this world. For some, they have a good idea of which values closely align with who they are, but many people still struggle with that component of their lives. I want to help people understand how their personal values support their identity and emotional literacy, in turn, making them more comfortable with who they are. A greater awareness of your values can ultimately enhance your life in many ways.

Here are some ways that recognizing what applies those values can do for your life:

  • Create Clearer Decision‑Making

  • Bring a Stronger Sense of Identity

  • Provide More Confidence + Self‑Trust

  • Reduced Anxiety + Overthinking

  • Learn Healthier Boundaries

  • Enhance Meaningful Relationships

If you realize you want to make changes in your life, I encourage you to start by reflecting on what you value and whether your actions align with those values. I find that some of the most in-depth conversations start with learning about values and understanding who specific individuals are to the core.

To truly be known and for others to know your heart is one of the greatest parts of existence.

The concept of personal values hasn’t had alot of opportunity to develop in a way to support people in feeling confident with who they are, asking the hard questions that will allow them to improve in areas of their life, and being invested in their journey, knowing that all is not lost.

When you know your values, you stop auditioning for your identity.
